Property Investment in Wales
A report by property investment firm Stephenson & Alexander has revealed investor confidence in the South Wales property market is soaring.
Specialising in commercial property investment, Stephenson & Alexander announced that the property investment market in South Wales is presently at the highest level of demand ever known.
The research unearthed South Wales being an investment hotspot even compared to other areas of the UK, yet also mentioned that the demand came mainly from private investors and property companies, rather than institutions for investment property in Wales.
The report also found that most UK investors favoured industrial property, followed by unit shops. For South Wales, the highest results were:
- 29% Unit Shopping
- 20% Offices
Peter Graham, the Stephenson & Alexander director added that the property investment market had never experienced property values this high and yields so low.
The survey revealed that around 75 per cent of respondents showed an interest in increasing their property investment portfolio for South Wales in the next year, with 85 per cent confident of reaching their required ROI.
Almost half of the respondents rightly believed that the value of their investments would rise higher during 2005.
