Gold Prices Rise
Gold prices continue to rise and are soon expected to rise above $500 per ounce this month.
The price of gold touched an eighteen year high in November, reaching £290.66.
Historically, gold has always performed best in times of economic uncertainty. With the threat of terrorism allegedly higher than ever, stable investments such as gold become ever more popular.
Other factors include countries attempting to increase their gold reserves and high requests for jewellery.
Some analysts expect gold to soar past the $500-per-ounce mark, regardless of whether of not investors without their earnings at that price.
Gold prices hit the record level of $873 per ounce at the beginning of 1980. The lowest level recorded was $250 per ounce in 2001.
